The school has a purpose-built computer lab which was funded by the P & C Committee. There are currently 14 desktops and 16 laptops in this room. The RFF teacher takes all K-6 classes for a lesson each week in this room. Lessons are based on our school’s scope and sequence chart and wherever possible incorporates the current COGS unit for each class.
Each classroom has 4 or more networked desktops.
Children have access to digital cameras, video cameras and microphones to create digital projects.
Students use EduWeb, by Stu Hasic, to create their own intranet web page. Each student is able to edit their page according to their individual interests by inserting images, using hyperlinks and adding class work to desired topics. At the end of each year a CD is created of their work.
The P & C Committee have funded an interactive Smartboard for every classroom and a laptop for each teacher.
Programs we use include Typequick, Phonics Alive Typing, KidPix Deluxe 4, Jascc Paint Shop Pro, Kahootz, Stop Motion Pro and Scratch.
