Reading Recovery is an early intervention designed to reduce reading failure in Year 1 students. It aims to accelerate student progress, to the average level of their grade, as quickly as possible so students may obtain maximum benefit from classroom instruction. Each year, approximately 12-14 students receive individualised instruction from trained Reading recovery teachers.

We are fortunate to have an experienced team of teachers providing assistance for students with learning difficulties. Literacy & Numeracy programs for identified students operate within the class as well as small group withdrawal. In addition, a very successful Parent/Community tutor program provides support, ensuring as many students as possible are given every opportunity to succeed.
