ABOUT OUR P&C
The school’s Parents & Citizens Association (P&C) continues to play an active role within the school. The dedicated parents and helpers of the P&C and its sub committees meet regularly to discuss various school issues and determine how the P&C can assist the school with current and future needs and resources.
P&C meetings are held in the staff room at 7.30pm on the 4th Wednesday of each month and all parents and community members are welcome to attend.
The Annual General Meeting is held in November each year. Membership of our P&C is 50 cents.
During the meetings, reports are presented by representatives of the Parents Club, Canteen Committee, Uniform Shop, School Council and the Principal.
There is always a certain amount of fundraising involved with any P&C Association. Gosford Public School P&C Association is very fortunate in receiving funds from the Chapman Trust Fund. This is a trust fund which was set up in the 1960’s as a result of a bequest by Mr. and Mrs. Chapman in order to support a number of schools and community organisations in the local area. The P&C has the responsibility of allocating these funds to a variety of school projects which will benefit the children and their education. The P&C is very appreciative of the funds received from this Trust Fund.
(Information about the Chapman Trust in on display in the school foyer.)
Over the past few years the P&C have allocated funding for the Computer Room, Smartboards, Reading and Math resources, music/band equipment, t-shirts and CD for the Ready, Set, Go program, playground equipment, a COLA cover – to name just a few.
By attending and participating in the P&C you will not only provide assistance for the school and its students, your efforts will demonstrate a sense of pride and community spirit to your children.
Gosford Public School is a great school, so please come along and support this school in any way that you can.
